Questions
Do the people I split with need the app?
No. You add them as guests with just a name, and share a link they open in any browser. Only the person creating the group needs DIW installed.
What happens if a guest installs DIW later?
They open the same share link while signed in and their guest identity is claimed — the history follows them into their account.
Can one group use more than one currency?
Each group has a single currency, set when you create it. Make separate groups for separate trips.
How does settle up decide who pays whom?
It minimises the number of transfers needed to bring every balance to zero, rather than making everyone pay everyone.
Is my data sold or shown to advertisers?
No ads and no data sale. Share links are unguessable tokens and can be revoked.
Is DIW free?
Yes, all four steps and all three split types are free.
